Feeling "Low" or "Bah Hum Bug"

I am feeling "low".
Not decorating for Christmas!

#1 - Devine Miss M is going to see other Grandma, in NY, for Christmas. Ok, I can share!  Her Brobro & Sissy are in Florida for holidays, with their father.  Brobro flies out tomorrow and Sissy is there permanently.

#2 - DYS is getting transferred back to Florida, up side - we are going along.  I will get to watch Devine Miss M all day long, until she starts kindergarten.

#3 - Down side we are moving "AGAIN" and to Florida. Anybody got the number for a really good allergist.  We left Florida, because I was ending up in the ER with major allergy attacks on a regular basis.

#4 - Scottish Festival we organize is about to drive me crazy.  We have one person, we refer to as the "Demented Troll". Tell her twice and she still gets everything screwed up and everybody mad. I had hoped to resign with the move. We will run things via email and phone, which is what we have done mostly anyway.

#5 - We, still, have the house we made the mistake of buy in WV.  Renters are blogging/posting/tweeting online about selling the house and buying a bigger house.  Ha - can't sell what you don't own.  So that just means they are moving and haven't notified us, yet.  Found out they have been kicked out of the last 2 or 3 houses they have lived in.  Hmmm, wish someone had told us, before rather than after.  Probably will have to go clean the house and get it listed with a realtor. Any body want to buy a house in WV?

#6 - In-laws keep calling and asking (nagging) about what the problem is with getting new passports.  Hmmm, no problem; just don't have burning desire to see them is all.  Neither does DH.  911 and needing a passport to go to Canada has saved me from the obligatory Canadian Thanksgiving week of "h-e-double toothpicks".  Being an only child suddenly seems good, after watching how the In-laws treat each other.

#7 - Sorting, packing, trashing and downsizing some more!
Want to buy a mid-arm quilting machine?  I am not moving it!

No sewing and quilting happening here!

Yep! I am - Lower Than The Limits!
I am feeling really overwhelmed with all that is going on.

Gremlins vs.Trolls

One of the obstacles in my life is "The Troll".
Some people blame "Gremlins" for little things disappearing and going askew.
Major things going wrong usually are turned in to a disaster by "Trolls".
How to tell the difference:
Gremlins usually just do little things, jokingly, and they are kinda cute and cuddly.
They may at times be a little mischievous, but never self-centered and mean.
If they want something - they will politely ask if someone can help them to get it or do it, when the other has some time free.
Trolls on the other hand, are just plain mean and ugly.
They, constantly, harp and nag and complain, but never listen.
If they want something - they will order it to be done, fetched or dealt with by someone else, immediately!

My personal troll has totally monopolized my life the past year and a quarter - emailling, phoning and texting.
One day there were 43 emails and 17 phone calls from "The Troll"!, on top of 15 or 20 important ones from others.
Three fourths, of "The Troll's" were babble: of no interest, or no importance!
I need to ignore my phone and email, if I want to stay sane, and find time to actually sew and quilt.
This is my pre-New Year's resolution, to myself.
I actually sewed today!!!
Repaired a seam on a lawn chair, before it gets put away for winter.
OK, that isn't much, but a stitch here and a stitch there.
I will find my stitching happiness, again!
Tomorrow - on to pants hems and maybe a quilt block or two!

Getting Back on the Horse!

My Lower Than The Limit Quilters blog, is where I intend to share overcoming obstacles when I try to find sewing and quilting time.

Inviting blog friends to share their thoughts on obstacles.

Overcoming not being eligible for a free AccuQuilt "GO!".

Over coming having a new business changed into something completely different than it started out to be, by the co-owner, so now it doesn't even resemble the original business.

Trying to find new ways to approach any kind of handwork in a less stressful way physically, after two wrist surgeries.  Very difficult when sewing and handwork is your personal therapy, relaxation and source of income.  I have sewn since I was 4 years old. I made a lot of my own clothes starting at 10.  Started sewing and doing alterations for actual customers at 14.  Taught sewing in a local fabric store at 21.  Starting quilting at 30.

Over coming very sad feelings of a friend sitting at my dining room table and copies my pattern notes then going to Appalachian Quilting Party and teach a class using my pattern.  She only asked if she could use the pattern for "one" church raffle quilt!

M'liss Rae Hawley has encouraged me to dig out my notes and get back to work!

Victory #1

Well, I have over came a hurdle, my lack of the coveted "GO!".
I told my dear sweet hubby about all the bloggers that got the "Letter", and he said "So just order the one you saw on Ebay".
Cricket Quilts has all kinds of GO!s and dies on her Ebay store, at great prices.
Now all I have to do is resist attacking all the Fed Ex trucks that drive by the house, until my "GO!" arrives.
Now I am only limited by the dies that come with my "GO"!
They will be enough to keep me entertained for a while.
I will be passing out Joanne's "GO!" fliers, with dies marked, to any one that will be buying me a Christmas present.

Why???

Why are we LOWER THAN THE LIMIT QUILTERS?
We didn't have 100 "FOLLOWERS" and couldn't be part of AccuQuilt's blog list.
Did we love AccuQuilt less?  NO!  We are only "FOLLOWED" less, according to our side bars.
If you would like to know who really needs followers, check out the blog list on the side bar.
If you are one of the rejected let me know and I will add you.
Please, also, be a "FOLLOWER", never know when we might need that count for something.
Thanks!
